Woke up to sunshine!!! Kept it all day. Brief interludes of clouds but no rain.
We popped on the train to Glasgow to meet up with Cathy and Margaret and Lorna. We got to the train station before the others. Cathy found me first. It wasn't like seeing her for the first time, it was like seeing a dear friend after a long absence. Margaret and Lorna arrived shortly after and it was the same feeling. Long lost friends. We left the train station and took a taxi to a restaurant Cathy had been to before. She was a little turned around but we finally got there but there was too long of a wait. So we went somewhere else. Lunch was amazing. It was the best time visiting. Margaret and Cathy brought gifts and now I have a real Scottish plaid scarf and a Nessie!!
After lunch we walked a bit with Cathy and Margaret leading us to the hop on -hop off tour bus. Before we parted ways, which I did not really want to do, we took photos. Promised Cathy we wouldn't post them so use your imagination.
The bus tour was fun. We saw all the sites and hopped off at the Glasgow Cathedral and Necropolis. Momentary panic because they said it closed at 5 and it was 4:40. It was the cathedral the that closed, not the Necropolis so Christy went to the cathedral and I went up up up the hill to the Necropolis. Wow what a site to see. In America I don't think we have anything that compares. I wish I had been able to wander there all day.
Back on the train to Edinburgh. Tomorrow is... The Harry Potter Train!!!!!
